Liber Lucifer Ordinis Novi - book of infernal magic

Spells: Intoxication / Fire Protection / Poisonous Saliva / Insanity / Crown of Thorns /
Frost / Possession / Infernal Hounds / Infernal Flames / Dark Mass

Infernal magic is the most condemnable aspect of the mystical powers man can wield. It was described in detail in a book named Liber Lucifer Ordinis Novi. Its author is not known, though the authorship is often credited to a leader of one of the demonic cults of the mid-ninth century. The book contains instructions on how to perform the worst evils and atrocities. The author does not hesitate to encourage covert attacks at the Holy Mother Church through the abuse of human vices and through the summoning of infernal entities which he openly adores and worships.

This book is, due to its complexity, the most serious threat to the Kingdom of God on Earth and to the Holy Mother Church. And that is the reason the book was declared forbidden by the Holy Council at the moment it was discovered. Nevertheless due to the fact it was written by a heretic, it was not possible to completely prevent copying and spreading of the infernal tome. It is the most holy duty of the Papal Inquisition to find all the owners of the copies and to correct them!

Intoxication

  • This spell causes intoxication of the target.
  • Any being can be the target of this spell.
  • The higher mastery level the caster is, the more drunk the target gets.

If the mind of a faithful is firm and unspoiled it is hard for a heretic reveling in infernal magic to find a way to do harm and plant the seed of doom where order flourishes. One of the means of weakening one’s mind and blurring one’s sense is alcohol—if it is used in an unsanctified way. Too much alcohol puts a person in a state in which he is susceptible to temptation and hellish seductions. It is, however, rather difficult to get a faithful drunk on sight. Therefore the heretics searched for a way to conjunct the effects of alcohol with supernatural powers which they finally managed in the form of the Intoxication spell. This spell creates ruptures in the willpower of the target through which the filthy substance is poured into his body.

Fire Protection

  • This spell adds a temporary bonus to fire resistance.
  • Any being can be the target of this spell.
  • The higher mastery level the caster is, the higher the bonus is and the longer this spell lasts.

Worshippers of infernal powers must be prepared that the faithful will set traps in their way and hunt them down and will not hesitate to use fire whether it is for burning those convicted of witchcraft, a hot iron in a torture chamber or flames of justice at the stake. For that reason infernal powers give their followers the ability to temporarily raise a shield to make themselves more resistant against this element.

Poisonous Saliva

  • This spell causes poisoning of the target.
  • Any being can be the target of this spell.
  • The higher mastery level the caster is, the more dangerous the poison is.

Poisons and acids are considered infernal elements and are—though in contradiction with the discoveries of modern alchemy—attributed to the fallen angel Arthamon although he is primarily the lord of fire. That is why poisons and acids are so popular with heretics who use them both in a material and nonmaterial sphere. The Poisonous Saliva spell which can materialize a mixture of poison and acid around the target to cause him serious damage belongs to the latter.

Insanity

  • This spell causes insanity of the target.
  • Any being can be the target of this spell.
  • The higher mastery level the caster is, the higher the danger of insanity is.

If the mind of a faithful has been struck with insanity he cannot be expected to protect the true faith and Kingdom of God on Earth any longer. The insane become a burden to the faith and to the society for a spoiled mind cannot act in accordance with the divine order which is the basic element of the Kingdom of God on Earth. No wonder that making as many faithfuls insane as possible became a major aim of heretics and devil worshippers. The only spell that has been formed and written down up to nowadays creates ruptures in the psychological balance of the target and evokes doubts and a fit of self-reflection in the target causing him temporal insanity.

Crown of Thorns

  • This spell causes physical damage to the target.
  • Any being can be the target of this spell.
  • The higher mastery level the caster is, the longer this spell lasts.

This heretic spell of infernal magic has been sacrilegiously named after the crown that was put on the head of the First Prophet by the soldiers of Ereborn after his crucifixion in the year of 33 of the New Era. The crown was braided of thorny twigs of a locust shrub and the Erebornians put it on the head of the dying prophet to worsen his suffering and to ridicule him by pronouncing him the king of the Kingdom of God on Earth the coming of which the First Prophet prophesied. During the following centuries the heretics mastered an infernal formula which causes their target physical suffering and called this disgusting spell the Crown of Thorns.

Frost

  • This spell paralyzes the target.
  • Any being can be the target of this spell.
  • The higher mastery level the caster is, the longer this spell lasts.

To deprive someone of freedom of movement is a manifestation of bad will typical of heretics and devil worshippers. If a faithful cannot move freely how can he defend the faith? With this idea on their minds the devil’s servants have always searched for a formula that would enable them to bind their opponent. The outcome of their attempts was the Frost spell that paralyses muscles of the target using deadly cold of the Afterworld and temporarily prevents him from moving.

Possession

  • This spell temporarily causes the target to become an enemy of all.
  • Any being can be the target of this spell.
  • The higher mastery level the caster is, the longer this spell lasts. Also the amount of mana required to cast the spell decreases.

If somebody is possessed by an evil spirit he cannot be a pillar of the faith any more and becomes dangerous to his surroundings for the unholy powers that control him can do anything they like with him. For that reason the demon summoning rituals are so popular with the heretics and devil worshippers. If the ritual is successful almost anybody can become possessed by an unholy spirit that will make him an instrument of the Dark Prince or his followers. The Possession spell falls into such a category of spells by it’s nature.

Infernal Hounds

  • This spell summons a number of hellish dogs that protect the caster against his opponents.
  • Any place within sight of the caster can be the target of this spell.
  • The higher mastery level the caster is, the longer remain the hellspawns in this world.

The fight against heresy and the heretics is as old and as uncompromising as the faith itself. Considering that there has always been more faithful than those who turned away from the teachings of the Holy Mother Church and stopped believing in the God Almighty the heretics have constantly tried to get help from hellspawns that would protect them from the traps of the faithful at times of the biggest need. That is why the Infernal Hounds spell was created that summons several infernal beings in the form of accursed hounds from the hunting pack of the Dark Prince himself.

Infernal Flames

  • This spell causes fire damage each second during the time of its effect.
  • Any being in the area of effect can be the target of this spell.

Fire is one of the basic infernal elements although it is often used for protection of the true faith and other holy activities as well. It is however in principle a destructive and therefore an infernal element associated with the fallen angel Arthamon. It is he who lends his infernal power to the one who says the magical formula of this spell correctly to badly burn everything living within sight. If the caster succeeds flames burst out of the ground burning everything in their way.

Dark Mass

  • This spell causes fire, poison and lightning damage respectively.
  • All beings in the area of effect can be the target of this spell.

One of the main aims of heretics is the summoning of infernal monsters they worship and serve—in return for fulfilling their lowly wishes. To summon infernal monsters is not easy at all though for the Kingdom of God on Earth is protected from them by the faith of all the faithful. Yet the heretics are often able to penetrate this protection and summon the monsters by joining the powers of more people at sabbaths, the dark masses. It is there that they can contact forces of the Dark Prince most easily and call them in to do harm. And on the principles of concentration of metaphysical loathing of the true faith and compulsive desire for the presence of infernal powers one of the most powerful infernal spells called the Dark Mass was created. This spell can in a single moment create the same infernal air around the caster that is there during the sabbaths which causes damage to all beings within sight.
